The cold sea water lapped against the young man's unconscious body whilst the golden midmorning sun was beating down on his aching body his clothes all tattered from the raging storm last night his golden hair mattered by the salt of the savage sea and still he didn't wake. The young man's emerald eyes flickered and awoke to the surprise of the unfamiliar scene before him the salty water that once filled his lungs was now scattered across the sand before him.
My name...What is my name...oh yes Oscar...Oscar Thane I think...I have no fucking clue how I ended up here but I know that this isn't the marigold ship and I have to get back. "Ow my fucking head." murmuring to himself as if someone was going to hear him on this empty beach. "Ok first things first find some shelter water and shade." still talking to himself. "And stop talking to yourself you'll go mad here and you can't go mad here." He picked himself up of the ground and slowly got to his feet he started to walk to the forest before him. He had a moment of panic and touched his chest. He breathed a sigh of relief when he felt it. "Well at least I still have you." He said to himself. He carried his aching body into the depths of the forest. He couldn't believe what he was seeing this whole forest was breathtaking. The trees were a perfect shade of green and taller than anything, the brightly coloured birds filled the skies above whilst the sounds of the native wildlife brought everything to life in the brightly lit forest. "If only you could see this then it would truly be amazing." He carried on walking through the lush green forest with no destination just some hope that he would find some civilisation or some way of getting back. He came out of the forest into a clearing on top of a cliff looking out over what looked like a desert with what he could make out as a magnificent castle on the horizon. He sat on the strangely shaded colour of grass and looked up the sky. The sky was an even weirder colour it wasn't the sought of blue that normal skies were no this sky had a strange air of mystery to it that he couldn't quite put his finger on but he didn't mind it was nice to finally be able to stop and let the world roll by if this was still the world he had lived in his whole life? He closed his eyes and let go of all the pain he was finally at peace with himself and felt he could let go of the past.
Suddenly there was a crunch of twigs in the forest behind him. He jumped up startled at the thought of human life on this strange island. He couldn't see them in the darkness of the woods but he could make out some strange eyes watching him. They followed him around the edge of the cliff. He picked up a log nearby hoping that it would defend him somehow from the strange beasts that lurked in the dark forest. He was about to lurch forward and attack them when one of them jumped out and scared him making him fall back and scrabble to his feet. Four more jumped out and circled Oscar. He circled the strange beasts. He couldn't tell if the beasts before him were human animal or a bit of both. They had eyes like a wild cat hungry for food and ready to kill no matter what to get it, there hair was long and matted and they had headbands with some strange symbols on it with war paint tattooed across their faces. Oscar knew he was heavily outnumbered but he knew he had to try and at least escape from these beasts. The smaller one lurched forward and tried to attack his legs but Oscar kicked him away as two more lurched forward and pinned him down breaking one of his ribs. Shock ripped through his body rendering one side useless. He screamed out in excruciating pain hoping these savage hungry beasts would stop and leave him be but they didn't. The other one who pinned him down tried to throw a punch at his face but Oscar blocked the first one but he got hit directly in the nose by the second punch shattering the bones in his nose. The red crimson blood trickled down his face and filled his mouth. He couldn't breathe it felt like he was drowning under the crushing weight of the two boys on his broken ribs and the drowning sensation of the blood flowing faster and faster into his mouth. When he thought the pain couldn't get worse he turned round and remember seeing a man kick him so hard in the side of the head that not only did he black out but his skull also cracked under the sheer force, The pools of blood trickled down the side of his head and merged with the emerald grass. Oscars eyes where draining with life as he was grabbed by the ankles and dragged like a wild animal for so many miles that he swore he was going to die right there and then.
When they finally got Oscar back to there clan they tied him up and stripped him so all his wounds and flaws were on show to the clan around him. Oscar could see them mocking him for who he was and felt so ashamed at being beaten by the young boys. There was no light in this part of the forest just a few beams that managed to break through the overgrown trees. Oscar looked around and surveyed his surroundings. There were many straw hutches with fires burning outside to cook the meals for the children that were play fighting at Oscar's feet. Some of the women giggled at Oscar as they walked past. He couldn't understand why until he looked down and realised he was completely naked for everyone to see. He tried to hide his shame but went red from ear to ear from the embarrassment of being totally naked. As the day drew on Oscar began to wonder why he was here and what was going to happen to him and if he was going to get anything to eat. The last beams of sunlight faded from the dark clan and the heat from the day left the air and was replaced by the frosty cold of the night. Oscar gave up with the hope of getting food and decided to sleep maybe it would build his strength enough for him to be able to escape later.
Oscar was awoken from his state of bliss by the sharp sting of someone burning a hot rod onto the open wound on his rib. Oscar screamed out in pain as the open wound pulsed and bled from the intense heat. His whole rib burned from intense pain and searing heat. His whole body was on fire as if someone had lit a match in his rib and it was burning him from the inside out. "Let me go you bastards I've done nothing to offend you or harm you in any way please release me." Oscar was now crying for his freedom. The clan around him laughed at how pathetic the man before them was. Oscar hung his head in shame and began to cry in pain his tears staining his cheeks as they rolled down his battered and bruised face and onto the muddy ground below him. In his moment of pain he realised it wasn't around his neck anymore! "Where is it you bastards? Where is the one thing of her I have left?" he screamed with more rage and pain then he ever had before. The men of the clan didn't care they just laughed at him and walked of. Oscar just bowed his head and tried to sleep maybe he would die peacefully then.
After a few hours of trying to sleep he was awoken by a crunching of the leaves from the forest that surrounded the clan. He looked around in defence to see where the noise was coming from. He prayed to himself that they were coming to kill him he couldn't bear to go on much further. A loud scream came from one of the surrounding huts a women had just seen her children murdered before her eyes. Oscar's heart started racing with fear at what would happen and how the strangers made it into the camp. Suddenly a loud roar came from the darkest depths of the forest as another clan leapt out the woods to attack the clan one tall man looked straight into Oscar's eyes but left him alone. Oscar couldn't stop sweating and panting from the shear fear of what was going to happen to him. In amongst all the screaming and terror a short young women with mattered black hair, blue eyes, lips of ruby and snowy white skin came over and untied Oscar. Oscar dropped to the floor and scrambled to his feet ready to attack if need be. "Don't be scared. I'm here to free you." The young women's voice had a reassuring tone about her and showed no reason to attack Oscar. "But why"
"It isn't your time to die."
"But what about you? What about your kids and family?" Oscar was almost in tears at this point at the thought of this women dying to save him
"I never said I was going to die but you must survive tonight Oscar Thane and I promise you will repay me soon enough. But for now here are your clothes and strange necklace thing now leave." She demanded. Oscar didn't know what else to do so he grabbed his clothes and dressed his naked body. The young women nodded to him and he took off into the woods as the battle raged on between clans. Oscar didn't look back as his aching legs carried him through the woods and his mind swirled with questions. He stumbled a few times but found the strength to get back on his feet and carry on. Finally his body couldn't take it and he collapsed near a river. He fell to his knees and through up anything that was still in his stomach. His whole body shaken with nerves and pain from the last however many hours. The sweat poured down his face as the pain ripped through his body. Oscar curled up on the forest floor and let the darkness take over his body.
